As an extension of burning trees, you could have grassfires; similar ways to start one, but perhaps ... slightly higher chance of spreading from hex to hex downwind and across the wind, not burning as long as woods, more smoke downwind, with slightly less chance to raise titan temp.
I suppose it would involve a lot of playing with the program, but sounds a "realistic" addition?
