MM Example - Singling

I pulled an old classic out to see what MM can do for me ....

I loaded up my old HM, smoothed it a few times ... loaded up a quickly drawn AI map ...viola!

I had to substitute my wheat texture for the diffusedSand ... but works none the less. [:)]

I just need to add some more buildings, tweak them a bit, and maybe build a template for it so I can run a random battle.

Thanks for looking!

Here's another screenshot looking west.

As you can see I need to align the buildings too! I used the red "impassable" color to make a lawn for the buildings ... eh, not bad ...works for me and it's better looking than my lawn right now!

The heightmap didn't need any tweaking ... the smoothing button worked it's wonder!

The road looks like garbage but that's my fault ... something else to adjust.

Looks like some of the user made Finland maps for CMBB only better.

Thanks junk2drive !

Here's another shot from the NW corner ... looking SE from ground level ... A Panther tank at this spot almost gives it command over the entire village.

Another shot, north side of town, looking east.

In this shot I'm running an experiment with one of the buildings. I made a cheap second floor to allow two more squads in the building by simply duplicating the building and raising it a bit. Now, it doesn't look appealing but it's just an experiment in modular design.

Also, you can see that I added a "basement" (wire frame selection). This allowed me to level the structure without modifying the height on the north side of the building. The basement is actually another duplicate of the house, rolled 180 degrees (flipped over), and set into place. It also has the capacity of two squads.

Now, if it works, then basements can make an interesting hiding place for troops. In the real Singling battle, the Germans hid in the basements only to be discovered when their antenna for the radio was spotted sticking outside the basement window.

Just ideas ... until a future version of Pck comes out.
