Please tell me there's a pause button in the game. I can't find it and, I'll be honest, even playing on the slowest speeds I feel like I need to snort coke to keep up with all the details. If I end up in rehab it's y'alls fault.

This seems like a game I'm going to enjoy once I learn it. But I haven't figured it out yet. I managed to disolve both the Eastern and Western Empires in one year. I'm worse than Nero! I think my problem was logistics since my Franks didn't fly of the handle, too.

The "pause/break" button next to your "print screen" button on the keyboard will give you the pause/resume commands. I could not find anything on the game screen to do the same-odd.
BTW, make sure you're "F Lock" is off, otherwise it won't work.

Now if I can just find that list of Victory Point conditions that's supposed to be in the appendix. (Am I somehow overlooking this as well?)

You know, this really is an outstanding game. I'm curious, though. How well does the AI handle the long term game. I mean, will they eventually push the barbarians to their historic locations or do they just try to stay in place and grow from there?
