How do these move? No Rebel Canoes allowed please.

In my campaign against Dan Roper, he has taken several Northern Japanese cities in Hokkaido and I cannot get my troops to cross over from Kyushu to Hokkaido without spending the political points to change their HQ.

Am I missing anything when troops cannot move anywhere within Japan proper?

This is a Big B Mod...

They seem to be separated by water. Can't move land units over water without ships.
Nothing to do with HQ or Restrictions.

I thought that the Japanese were able to shuffle troops throughout the Home Islands without issue.  Thsi is where the barges/small shipping came into effect I thought...

Only supplies, fuel, oil and resources can move across water between 2 ports of at least size 3.

I ran a test on the stock map, and I did manage to get a unit to march from Ominato to Hakodate, but at a very slow pace (overland, no road or RR connection). I need to run that again though to make sure I am not seeing things, but I got it to work at least once.

Hit the Show Road key and the Show Hexsides to see what kind of movement you can do.

Thanks for the help Q-Ball!

IF I could could get those troops moving--even slowly--it would add another 3 Inf Div to the attack!

'R' is the road key I think. F6 is hexsides maybe.

If there is no road, but the hex side is green (or white IIRC), then your troops will indeed cross, but it will be at 2-3 miles day - ie cross country rate.

John, what ever restriction may or may not exist there - will be a function of the Andrew brown Map, ie...it is not a function of the mod.
