Hi, is there going to be one?

There isn't, but there is a demo of Panzer Command:Operation WInter Storm which shows the basics of gameplay.

Obviously things have changed with the new version (I don't know what, not having the original), but the demo will give you and understanding of gameplay and should be sufficient to tell you if the game is up your street or not.

It's a good game. I see it as an welcome accompaniment to my Combat Mission games.

Yep, got the Winter Storm demo. I love it, sad thing is Matrix games are not easy to buy, off the shelf in the UK. Might have to buy both games over the net. Like you I like the combat mission games, it is such a shame that Theatre of War is not turn based.

I like Theatre of War. It's sexy looking and plays ok. Sure, if it was WEGO and if you dealt with squads instead of individual soldiers, it probably be the king. But it was always going to be RTS.

That and Combat Mission Shock Force hold their own I think. I have both and enjoy firing them up now and again...as much as Combat Mission originals.

Combat Mission originals with the graphics of CMSF...WOW!

There has been some talk of CM games with the new graphics engine. Would love to hear more news on that subject. Anybody friends with a Battlefront dev?

For a project that started life all those years ago as "WW2 RTS" wouldn't that rather defeat the point?

CMSF can be RTS or turn based. That shows it can be done
