I would like to ask you all why we should (or shouldn't) implement Canada into the game (Europe '39, '40 and '41 scenarios).
There's no doubt that Canadians have some impact on the warscore, but to ease our work we can just increase English or American PP.

So post your thougts and opinions, make some propositions.

Please remember that ATM I'm asking why not how ;)

Not to belittle the many (for her size) troops she fielded and the hard-won combats and sacrifices (e.g. Juno Beach in Normandy, Dieppe, Hong Kong), Canada's contribution was largely in terms of resources and training. (Canada had the largest merchant navy in the world at the end of the war.) As such, I personally do not think that Canada needs to be put into the game.  (With the purpose of full disclosure, I should also add that I am not particularly enamoured with playing minor powers either.) If the game is contemplating putting counter limits, one might consider simply including some Canadian, Aussie, Kiwi, Indian etc. tokens in with England.

p.s. I am a Canadian.

I think you should create 4 new countries. Canada, Australia, New Zealnd and India. All 4 will be off map but each hve their own PP pools for building units. New units will be deployable in Britain and Suez for Indian/Australian/New Zealand units.
If PP's are set correctly then these countries will be limited in what they can build and more importantly what they can rebuild if its damaged.
Canada should have its own leader. (Crerar? sp?). Possibly only available 44.

IF there were an ability to combine attacks I would have no problem with making these separate Countries, but the reality is, with th system you have you WEAKEN the British by making new Countries out of their Commonwealth. All the countries mentioned were subordinate to Great Britain and as the design of the game makes allies unable to attack jointly, they should stay out as separate Countries. In My opinion.

Good point. I forgot about this feature. Unless there is a future option to play turns in terms of 'alliances' ie all Axis countries then all Allied then all Neutral then I guess the best option is to use Event engine to create C'Wealth Divs at certain dates at certain places.
It should be quite easy to work out an arrival schedule. Units can be free builds as we can assume they are paid for by the supplying off board countries. But Britain will have to maintain or pay for their up keep.....thats when you add this into the engine.

Yes - until they correct the current set up that doesn't allow different countries to coordinate attacks, then having the Canadians and the others would just make a bad situation worse. Personally I have found this to be one of the real problems with this game, and I wonder if they can fix it, or it's just too much a part of the game to be modified!

Hopefully they can fix it and then bring on the Canadians!  [:)]

As mentioned in other post coordinated attack made by allies is not an option.

Ok. I was just assuming that having all allied countries (or axis or neutral) being played simultaneously might be an option that you would be willing to consider for speeding up PBEM. I see that this is definitely out.

In which case best option is to make Events to have Canadian, Australian or any units from the the Commonwealth appear as per a timed Event in a specific locaion as British units.

Having a separate Canada is plain silly in any of the scenarios.

I make that 3 No's (Lucky1, Twotribes, myself) and possibly 1 Yes? (AZ Gung Ho)

I think giving Great Britian extra PP's via a convoy or two would be best. That way commonwealth troops wouldn't have to do their own research and could attack together.
