It is almost Xmas eve already and here we sit this morning waiting for the Italians to begin there push on Agadabia. We are sitting out here in the middle of a flat expanse of land called a desert. Sitting and waiting on another nation to come and kill as many of us as he can and us of him. What a way to spend this holy of holy days and night. Dam I really am begining to hate this dam war.

We are set up here on the South western shore of Libya to stop the Italians as best we can. We are set up in a three company front behind a triple row of mines. It is clear but the visability is still only about 400 yards. Nice shooting range for our riflemen tho. Little dark at this time in the morning but just starting to be able to make out some shapes. At least you can tell the shrubs and bushes and if they move you know to shoot and shoot quick.

A CO the vets will have the northern flank with B our steadfast company to there right. C Co the Canadians will be our strong right arm today and hold the southern flank. All comapnys will be supported with a strong influance of heavy tanks. We do not believe the Italians will give us that much of a fight today as always. We have yet to really have a tough time with them. From our point of view this is be another turky shoot for us. The ground is open and very flat not much cover for any of the enemys infantry today are there lumbering tanks.

I expect nothing but great things from all the men under ny command as they are all a truly corageous bunch. Proud to be the commander of this super and dedicated fighting force.

The battle is over and the italians are in full retreat. Once again we have whipped them and did it rather soundly I might add. They tried very hard to crush our very northern flank by sending in at least 2 companys of there tanks. They broke thru at the very northern edge of the map but for only a few minutes. When our tanks counter attacked and broke them apart. We never gave an inch and refused to allow them to take any.

They lost 883 men along with 2 artty and 49 of there tanks before they could withdrawel. All the tanks they lost was in the north. I believe our big guns were to account for most of there infantry losses. As not too much of there infantry ever made it to where we could see them and shoot at them.

Our losses were extremly slight 17 men was all along with 3 tanks. One of them to there artty and the other two in the north battle. They shot none of our men at all losses was due to there artty alone. All in all not a bad day before Xmas. Our remaining men will have something to be thankful for on Xmas.

We have gotten our orders already. We are to stay here and strengthen our defenses. We will wait until the Italians regain there health and get the nerve to try us one more time. We have been in 11 battles since being formed into a battle group. Each and every time we have managed to get a decisive victory. Goes to show you what a bunch of frogs can do when they set there minds to it. Viva La France praise DeGaul !!!!!!!!
