FG question

I was playing a quick game to test some plays, and two field goals caught my attention; one FG looked wide of the post, but it hit the net between the posts, and it was called a made FG, another kick was just inside the left upright, but ended up hitting the invisible boundry (wide of the net) and it was called no good.

If it's programmed that way, so be it I won't complain - just want to know for future knowledge.

American rules, amateur field, stadium that came with game (not a D/L'ed one).

Only David can say how it is programmed, but the 3D game is basically physics based in a 3D world, so the field goals themselves should make a difference.

That assumes a little too much.
