Norway setup AI
Norway Forces
4-4 MTN, 2-4 Ski DIV, RES 3-3 MIL, 8 Naval units
Norway have four basic setups:
* Capital defence: Is just as the name suggests a setup where the all Norwegian
land forces is setup on Oslo.
* Narvik defence: Is just as the name suggests a setup where all the Norwegian
land forces are setup on or around Narvik, leaving the capital empty.
* Balanced defence: The Norwegian land forces are setup on Oslo and on Narvik, trying to defend both locations.
* Southern costal defence: The Norwegian land forces are setup on or close the cost guarding against an Invasion from the North Sea or Baltic sea.
Declaration of war
Given a CW declaration of war with or without FR/US/USSR and German control of Norway or a GE declaration of war with or without IT and CW control of Norway suggested reasoning for the AI could be as below.
Threats to guard against:
* Threat of paradrop close to Oslo
* Threat of paradrop close to Narvik
* Threat of invasion close to Oslo
* Threat of invasion close to Narvik
* Threat of invasion from North sea
* Threat of a land advance toward Oslo from Sweden
* Threat of a land advance toward Narvik from Sweden/Finland
Good hopes:
* Chance of intervention from controlling power in Narvik
* Chance of intervention from controlling power in Oslo
Threat of paradrop close to Oslo:
IF the Weather is Storm or Blizzard the no risk of paradrop
IF any of the countries at war has a:
Organized ATR AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the ATR has range to Olso or can be put in range of it AND
there is a organized PARA AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the PARA has range to ATR or can be put in range of it AND
the PARA and the ATR belongs to countries that can cooperate AND
the chance of a successful paradrop is > 20 %
THEN
There is threat of a paradrop close to Oslo
Threat of paradrop close to Narvik:
Same as Threat of a paradrop close to Oslo, but range to Narvik
Threat of invasion close to Oslo
IF the Weather is not Fine or Rain then there is no risk of invasion
IF any of the countries at war has a:
Organized TRS/AMPH/SCS AND one of A or B
A)
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
it has range to Baltic Sea the AND
there is a organized LandUnit AND
the LandUnit it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the LandUnit and the transporting unit can cooperate AND
the transporting unit can transport the LandUnit AND
the LandUnit can invade from the transporting unit AND
the LandUnit is on a costal hex Baltic Sea OR stack with the transporting unit
the chance of a successful invasion is > 20 %
B)
It’s in the Baltic Sea the AND
there is a organized LandUnit stack with the transporting unit AND
the LandUnit can invade from the transporting unit
the chance of a successful invasion is > 20 %
THEN
There is threat of an invasion close to Oslo
Threat of invasion close to Narvik
Same as Threat of an invasion close to Oslo, but the sea areas two: Norwegian Sea and/or Artic Sea.
Threat of invasion from North Sea
Same as Threat of an invasion close to Oslo, but the sea area is the North Sea.
Threat of a land advance toward Oslo from Sweden
IF any of the countries at war has (Conquered Sweden or controls Sweden) AND
it has a organized LandUnit AND
it’s in Sweden AND
it’s fast moving (reach the Oslo in two impulses) AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply or can be reorganized after moving
THEN
There is threat of a land advance toward Oslo from Sweden

Germany has a organized LandUnit AND
it’s in Finland AND
it’s can reach Norwegian territory (in one impulses, by moving trough Swedish territory) AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply or can be reorganized after moving
THEN
There is threat of land advance toward Narvik from Sweden/Finland
Chance of intervention from controlling power in Narvik
IF Controlling major power has a unit in any of Finland/Sweden AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the unit can cooperate with Norway AND
the unit can move and reach within supply range of Narvik or have trace own supply
ELSE IF Controlling major power can railmove a unit into Norway AND
the unit can cooperate with Norway AND
the unit can reach within supply range of Narvik or have trace own supply
ELSE IF Controlling major power can navaltransport/airtransport a unit into Norway AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the unit can cooperate with Norway AND
the unit can reach within supply range of Narvik or have trace own supply AND
the transporting unit can enter Norway or the unit can debark into Norway
THEN
There is a chance of intervention from controlling power in Narvik
Chance of intervention from controlling power in Oslo
IF Controlling major power has a unit in any of Sweden AND

the unit can cooperate with Norway AND
the unit can reach within supply range of Oslo or have trace own supply AND
the transporting unit can enter Norway or the unit can debark into Norway
THEN
There is a chance of intervention from controlling power in Oslo
