So doing some testing with this as GER. I put 10 units of Fw190A's [+2000 a/c all at +90% exp] in Western Front HQ. some 1200 respond to 250 fighter/350 bomber USAAF, and the outcome is only 45fighter/35bomber losses.

Does there appear to be a max effectiveness in terms of CAP against the USAAF?

Did you notice how many German units actually engaged the enemy?
Once an attacking air units suffers a certain percetage of losses, turns the tail and goes home, and it not engaged anymore.

The maximum effectiveness against the USAAF should be based on the lowest number of German fighter units needed to prevent the bombing of the German cities, rather than the number of fighters you have to defed them.

Yes, all 1200 engaged at one time or another.  It is just that the losses were so small compared to what you would expect.  6 wings of Fw190's against 2 wings of fighters and 2 wings of bombers ....

Did the bombing actually took place?
What's the time frame: end of 1944?

Those two USAAF fighter wings must have had a very high experience rate to survive all German attacks, particularly from highly experienced and deadly FW 190 units.

LAte 43 / early 44, I forget exactly. Fw-190 exp=+95, wings are all over 200 with readiness at +95%. So, I'm thinking there is a hard code limit on the interception of USAAF ... just wondering if anyone else had ever noticed this before ....

Has this been repeated in game. In most interceptions when you have this kind of match up you are going to stop the bombing, but there are times when you have numerical superiority and the bombing gets through, I think it is an anamoly. I will say though if you play a 44' campaign and get all the ME 262's into the air with decent experience the bombings fail continually.

As an aside has anyone noticed if the 410's seem very good at intercept? I have been playing alot of the 44 campaign vs AI recently and my 410's seem to be very effective against the bombers until the 262's replace them. I have much better intercept with fewer 410's than more FW's. Anybody else?

Bf 110 and Me 410 are good bomber interceptors due to the good cannon rating. But they are no match if fighting against escort fighters. Just as in real life.

fighter Cannon vs bomber durability per the 1.3 jnotes are the key factors...
