AOTR -- Stalingrad Map

You know .... A Stalingrad map exists from Squad Battles / Advance of the Reich / A John Tiller Game ... HPS.

I wonder how difficult it would be to get permission to use the exact layout for a Stalingrad map ... ie screen shot type like I did for the ASL map.

Hi Mraah,

I don't think you should worry too much about permission. People often copy maps from one game to another. In fact there are a number of modded sqaud battles maps that are copies of ASL maps. However here is where you might ask if you are wondering.

http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=263 Rich Hamilton would be the person to ask. He is quite a nice fellow.

Here is a link you may enjoy. Click on the number on the left hand side to see the maps.

z1812,

Thanks ... some great links!

I've been making my own SL boards from VASL and wasn't aware they were already out on the web. If I was going to make a Stalingrad map it would be from this map ... but it'll be a huge task.

Benpark ... if you're listening and you want me to make a map for your factory map then let me know.

Later on, if we want to get together and make a huge Stalingrad map then let me know. I'm talking about after MM is done and we have more urban models. Something to look at over the next few months.

Rob, definitely. The modular factory I did was for something like these large complexes. I can do some more custom models as well.

I still have a model of the grain elevator that just needs a bit more texturing, as well. I have basic maps drawn for several parts of the city that I did at the start of the summer, too.
