You need to click on the specific task force to follow. If you want tf 1 to follow tf 2 , click on the tf 1, then click on follow task force then click on tf 2. [:)]

Do not forget to make the slowest task force the lead task force. Also, make sure that the following task forces have a different home base or they seperate after the intitial destination is reached - that can prove deadly in a withdrawal from a recently stirred hornet's nest...

You also want to hit "do not retire" or your TF will meet up, wave, and then quite often sail merrily away.

Another befuddled newbe here:

I too, am in the tutorial. I am told to create a TF of AKs and DEs, then load the 2nd USMC div and set off for Saipan. Next, I am told to form another TF, load the 4th USMC div on it, and have it follow the first TF. Like a good little newbe I go to the manual which informs me:

"The Set TF to Follow option allows
the player to set the current TF to
follow another TF. In the above
example, Task Force 1001 is
currently not following another TF.
To set it to follow another, click the
arrow to the left of this title. The
screen will be replaced by a large
display of the tactical map; scroll
around and click on a TF for the
current one to follow."

So I click the arrow to the left of the "Set TF to follow" and the screen is indeed replaced by a large display of the tactical map. Problem is that the scrolling around reveals nothing more than the deep blue sea and some islands here and there. No TF to click on. This is understandable since both TFs were created within seconds of each other, and both are still in port.

Whadda I do?

OldCoot - Here's a picture of what you should be looking for. The only reason you wouldn't get this is if you incorrectly created your first TF ( didn't actually create one at all ), or you created one but then disbanded it again before starting on your second one.

By the way, the name you chose will serve you well when you post in the Geezing thread, and welcome to the game. Takes some getting used to, but definitely worth it.
