As I am on my first campaign I have yet to get the hang of shipping. Now the Brits have control of the North Sea. I control the Baltic and have 4 transports there. Does that give me any shipping at all? So far on the Nation screen I am getting no external food or supplies, even though I have had 4 or so tranports in the Baltic for two strat turns. Not sure if without the North Sea open, that might void my control of the Baltic?

quick edit. i see i am getting some materials through. i am although getting no food shipped in. is it possible to get food via shipping? or is that just for raw mats?

If the transports the CP has in the Baltic are on shipping missions you will get 3 raw materials from Scandinavia. As each transport can carry 2 you only need 2 transports there at any one time. If I recall the 3 RMs show up under "trade".

You can't get food from Scandinavia. The only way for Germany to get food is to transfer the surplus, if any, from allies such as Austria. The other way is to send your transports out to the Atlantic to trade with the rest of the world. But its possible to lose your transports doing that.
