Killing Paris

Started off a CP game and this time went for the big right hook. Smashed through Belgium (and Holland for good measure) swept across Dunkirk and by late 1914 had surrounded Paris. Now I've got questions:

1. What happens to the French reinforcements? They arrive in Paris most of the time but stacking limits should preclude more showing up in the city. Do they go elsewhere?

2. Can I even reduce Paris? 4 corps, 22 each plus a raft of artillery in a level 4 fort against early game artillery. Is it even reasonable for the Germans to be able to take Paris with anything like acceptable losses? I've seen some AAR's where Paris falls but I'm not sure what is done to reduce the city because my efforts, even with the siege arty, seems to be burying a lot of Germans and not nearly enough Frenchmen.

3. Can Paris be starved or will it's innate supply keep the garrison alive indefinitely?

As an aside, the friggin' UK forces are a beast.

They come in at a different city.

Certainly, as to what's "acceptable", well, that's kind of up to you.

Paris cannot survive alone indefinitely but although I don't have the numbers in front of me I would think its intrinsic supply would last for about a year.  But don't quote me on that.
