Questions on the latest version

I used to play the original version of Harpoon on a '486' in the late 80s! In an attempt to capture my youth I'm looking at purchasing HCE. Just to make sure I'm doing the right thing can anyone answer the following:

- All the screenshots on the website show stylised icons - is there still a choice that allows the NATO icons which I prefer?

- Can you confirm that there is now both a scenario and a database editor? I quite fancy giving the UK Forces CVA-01 and TSR2 aircraft.

Thanks

True, the CDS/NTDS style icons still exist though what we have for land unit icons is invariably wrong.  You can take a look at Stalin's icon mod to get a feel for the icons (the ones that come with the game are identical with what you remember, just some new unit types added, Stalin spruced them up).

There is indeed both a scenario and database editor.  In addition there is a battleset editor if you desire to play other parts of the world (not every part yet but many parts).

Thanks very much Tony.  I feel a purchase coming on.  There are a whole host of UK ships and aircraft cancelled in the 60s and 70s waiting to be added for those fans of gaming 'What If' scenarios.

Excellent!  If you want to help my FictionalDB grow (since I'm such a lazy DB editor) I'd love to have the help.

As for CVA-01, Brad (CV32) already has it in the HCDB database.
