Although I've been gaming for years, its usually from the American perspective. Are there any good books out there on German small unit tactics, both armor and infantry? I've bookmarked many internet sites which I've gotten off of this forum, but you can never have too much reading material.

Some pretty good books on this theme would be:
Anvil of War, Tsouras
Fighting in Hell, Rauss-Tsouras
Small Unit Actions during the German Campaign in Russia, CMH
I've found these very helpful. Good scenario ideas, too!..WB

Try

A book you might try is "Panzertaktik: German Small-Unit Armor Tactics" by Wolfgang Schneider. I have not read it but it is supposed to be very good.

I find this to be a very useful document......"Handbook On German Military Forces" (Chapter on German Tactics).
It can be found at:

It is downloadable too.
