I´m wondering if it will be possible to run WITP on ASUS EEE or any similar minilaptop.Anyone who tried it?Hardware is OK but I´m not sure how about resolution as these things have 800x600 screens...

Well, the resolution IS 1024*768, but I suppose you could try running it in a window.

My understanding is that the ASUS EEE is running under Linux OS. So you either need to change that to some kind of Windows or you need a windows emulator.

I don't recommend any of these options unless you're a computer geek.

The newer EEE PCs have Windows XP installed.

I agree with Terminus, playing WitP will be a pain with that screen resolution.

How do you run WITP in a window?!?!

Both Linux and XP versions of eee are available.I´ll post how it works as I will bought it tomorow.Of course it is not a game machine,I will use it for my work and I will play WITP on my home computer.It just interests me, those hotels nights on bussines trips can be long...[:)]

OK, bought it, tried. Unfortunately, no success so far. As expected,it is not possible to run WitP in full screen mode. An error message will show up. In windowed mode, game can be run but the window takes only part of the game screen with no chance to scroll. For example, it is not possible to run new game as the button is not visible...

You could increase the screen resolution (although the display quality suffers a lot if you don't run a LCD in its native resolution).

I´ve found a utility calle AsTray which is able to change the resolution into 1024x768 and game is running OK. Great [:)]
