Chile setup AI
Chile Forces
2-4 CAV, RES 3-3 MIL
Chile has one basic setup:
* Capital defence: Is just as the name suggests a setup where the Chilean
land unit is setup to defend Santiago.
Chile has two extreme setups:
* Invasion defence: the Chilean land unit is setup to defend the Chilean port Valparaiso to make it more difficult for the attacker to find an undefended port close to the capital.
* Marauder defence: Is just as the name suggests a setup where the one of the Chilean unit is set up to raise mayhem before Chile is beaten. The List of targets is: Argentine oil well, La Paz in Bolivia and resource hex in Bolivia/Peru.
Declaration of war
Given a Western allies declaration of war and JP/GE control of Chile OR a GE/IT/JP declaration of war with and US/CW control of Chile the suggested reasoning for the AI could be as below.
Threats to guard against:
* Threat of paradrop on/close to Santiago
* Threat of invasion close to Santiago
* Threat of enemy land units entering Chile from Argentina
Good hopes:
* Chance of intervention from controlling power
* Chance to try to conquer Bolivia
* Chance to try to capture resources in Bolivia/ Argentine/Peru
* Chance to try to step on facedown allied unit(s)
* Chance to try to step on facedown axis unit(s)
Threat of paradrop on/close to Santiago
IF the Weather is Storm or Blizzard the no risk of paradrop
IF any of the countries at war has a:
Organized ATR AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the ATR has range to Santiago/within three hex from the capital or can be put in range of it by naval transport AND
there is a organized PARA AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the PARA has range to ATR or can be put in range of it AND
the PARA and the ATR belongs to countries that can cooperate AND
the chance of a successful paradrop is > 20 %
THEN
Threat of paradrop on/close to Santiago
Threat of invasion close to Santiago
IF the Weather is not Fine or Rain then there is no risk of invasion
IF any of the countries at war has a:
Organized TRS/AMPH/SCS AND one of A or B
A)
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
it has range to Peruvian Cost/Chilean Cost AND
there is a organized LandUnit AND
the LandUnit it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the LandUnit and the transporting unit can cooperate AND
the transporting unit can transport the LandUnit AND
the LandUnit can invade from the transporting unit AND
the LandUnit is on a costal hex in Peruvian Cost/Chilean Cost OR stack with the transporting unit AND
the chance of a successful invasion is > 20 %
B)
It’s in the Peruvian Cost/Chilean Cost the AND
there is a organized LandUnit stack with the transporting unit AND
the LandUnit can invade from the transporting unit AND
the chance of a successful invasion is > 20 %
THEN
Threat of invasion close to Santiago
Threat of enemy land units entering Chile from Argentina
IF any of the countries at war has
A organized LandUnit AND
it’s in Argentina AND
it can reach Santiago in two impulses AND
it’s not blocked by ZOC.
THEN
Threat of enemy land units entering Chile from Argentina
When a setup is used:

X) The enemy can’t directly rail/move or transport a unit to the hex that the major power controlling Chile want to reach and they can’t block the land move and the chance of a successful ground strike on the 2-4 CAV is less than 30
