Just load them onto your next transport convoy. They should show up under 'load troops' if theyre capable of being loaded (check theyre not assigned to a restricted command).

Every AK should do. Air groups use only a fraction of the space, so you can easily add some supplies if you have the time for loading them.

Unlike LCUs air groups cannot be distributed among a couple of transports, so protect them well or you might loose the air group for a long time (180 days IIRC). On the other hand lost LCUs are gone for good.

I think that it does require the larger AKs to load aircraft. I am particular about saving my fastest AKs for this purpose.

Do air groups have a load cost??

Yes. They range from 12 per fighter up to 30 per level bomber (IIRC). Thus a USA fighter squadron of 24 airframes costs 288 AK cargo points. Any Allied AK easily has sufficient room to carry any air unit.

Also you can put fighters that are not carrier capable, on to cv's when they are either docked or disbanded in port (I forget which) and then, when they are repaired, fly them off again. A good way to get undamaged fighters into an airfield
