MF 3.0?

I understand that development on 2.0 has reached its conclusion (based on what I have been able to put together out of various threads)...but does that also mean that david has elected not to proceed with MF 3.0? If so. That's a damn shame. Is there a thread that discusses this that I cannot find?

David has stopped all development of Maximum Football.

At this time, there are no announced plans for future development.

One never knows how the future will unfold.

In my opinion, if Maximum Football 3.0 would ever become a reality, it would only come with big changes in the game was being developed.  David put much too much personal time into Maximum Football than he really should have, and that would not be an option for any future title.

Well if the thing was allowed to be open source, keeping things polished and ideal wouldn't be much of a problem

JD do you think you can open all the files and see if these can be tinkered?

I could always look. BUT, it's different editing Max FB compared to editing Madden. First, I hate EA Sports and everything they stand for. So, hatred leads to desire to crack the files. Second, editing David's work seems too personal for me, if you know what I mean. If I feel like there's some stuff I can edit without feeling like I'm cheating David, then I might as well.

However, time is going to be an issue (see post I am about to release).

David would never allow Maximum Football to go public domain.

The only way for the game to move forward on anything but extraneous things would be for David to allow the source code to be worked on.  I doubt that will happen either.
