I don't have any Slitherine Games, but the one demo that I downloaded asked for a key#. Do their games have the same type of copy protection?

No, just once when you install and later if you ever have to reinstall... 

Matrix has the least intrusive copy protection I have experienced. Type in serial number and you are good to go. Back up download on a CD, print serial number with a marker on the CD and you are good to go forever.

There are two things, however, that I will never understand. First, one is always asked to type one's name during the copy protection proceedure and then one's company's name (I have always just typed my own name again here. I'll probably be carted off to wargaming prison at some point, as I own many Matrix games). Second, one has to type in the serial number everytime one patches the game. If you have a working copy of the game haven't you either: a) purchased the game legally; or b) already beat the copy protection system.

Anyhow, this is a minimally intrusive system. AGEOD's is simlar.

Thanks for the answer(s). For some reason I had the impression that you had to enter the "Copy" protection every time that you loaded the game? I'm glad that it's just like the other Matrix titles in that respect.

After reading more posts on this title and with the promise to work on the AI, I will probably make this a purchase...

With all Matrix games you'll need the serial for the main install and then for each patch.

I always copy and paste the serial # on to notepad or word doc and save that to the CD as well just for added protection. I also leave the cd open so as I can burn on future patches/user made scenarios to the disc as they occur.
