Afghanistan setup AI
Afghanistan Forces
4-4 MTN
Afghanistan has one basic setup:
* Capital defence: Is just as the name suggests a setup where the Afghanistan
land unit is setup to defend Kabul.
Afghanistan has three extreme setups:
* Marauder defence: Is just as the name suggests a setup where the Afghanistan unit is set up to raise mayhem before Afghanistan is beaten. The target is the resource in Stalinabad
* South mountain pass defence: The Afghanistan unit is set up to block the advance to Kabul from the south.
* North mountain pass defence: The Afghanistan unit is set up to block the advance to Kabul from the North.
Declaration of war
Given a Western allies declaration of war and JP/GE control of Afghanistan OR a GE/IT/JP declaration of war with and USSR/CW control of Afghanistan the suggested reasoning for the AI could be as below.
Threats to guard against:
* Threat of paradrop on/close to Kabul
* Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from the USSR
* Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India
* Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from Persia
* Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from China
* Threat of having the land unit disrupted
Good hopes:
* Chance of intervention from controlling power [;)]
* Chance to try to conquer USSR resource in Stalinabad
* Chance to try to step on facedown allied unit(s)
* Chance to try to step on facedown axis unit(s)
Threat of paradrop on/close to Kabul
IF the Weather is Storm or Blizzard the no risk of paradrop
IF any of the countries at war has a:
Organized ATR AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the ATR has range to Kabul/within three hex from the capital or can be put in range of it by naval transport AND
there is a organized PARA AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
the PARA has range to ATR or can be put in range of it AND
the PARA and the ATR belongs to countries that can cooperate AND
the chance of a successful paradrop is > 20 %
THEN
Threat of paradrop on/close to Kabul
Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India
IF any of the countries at war has
A organized LandUnit AND
it’s in India AND
it can reach Kabul in three impulses AND
it’s not blocked by ZOC.
THEN
Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India
Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from USSR
Same as Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India but they are in the USSR
Threat of having the land unit disrupted
IF the Weather is Storm or Blizzard there is no risk of having the land unit disrupted
IF any of the countries at war has A or B
A)
A organized air unit AND
the unit has tactical factors AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
it has range to the hex where the land unit is planed to be placed AND
the chance of a successful ground strike is > 30 %
B)
A organized ART unit AND
it’s in supply or can be put in supply AND
it has adjacent to the hex where the land unit is planed to be placed AND
the chance of a successful ground strike is > 30 %
THEN
There is risk of having the land unit disrupted
When a setup is used:
* The Capital defence
Is consider to be used when A, B, C or D OR when the AI wants
A) Threat of paradrop on/close to Kabul
B) Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India
C) Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from the USSR
D) Threat of having the land unit disrupted
-- extreme setups
* North Mountain pass defence
Is consider to be used when A and none of B, C, D
A) Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from the USSR
B) Threat of paradrop on/close to Kabul
C) Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India
D) Threat of having the land unit disrupted
* South Mountain pass defence
Is consider to be used when A and none of B, C, D
A) Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from India
B) Threat of paradrop on/close to Kabul
C) Threat of enemy land units entering Afghanistan from the USSR
D) Threat of having the land unit disrupted
* The Marauder defence
Is consider to be used when X and A, B, C and D
-- USSR A
A) USSR is controlled/conquered by the enemy side
B) There is no enemy landunit in Stalinabad
C) The Afghanistan 4-4 MTN can reach Stalinabad in one impulse
D) The major power controlling Afghanistan is at war the major power controlling USSR or the USSR is at war with Afghanistan
X) The enemy can’t directly rail/move or transport a unit to the hex that the major power controlling Afghanistan want to reach and they can’t block the land move and the chance of a successful ground strike on the 4-4 MTN is less than 30%
