Help with Timetables of Advance?

Hello all. I am very glad to see that this long lost game was ressurrected. I recently found it again after some years of non-use. But to the point. I am playing a PBEM game of 3.2 using Possum's edited OB as the Germans. What are the chances of winning in 1941? I guess what I'm asking is what kind of time table do I need to keep in order to achieve victory before the blizzards? By the end of the 13 July turn I will have captured and am holding the Pskov-Mogilev-Kiev line waiting one more turn for my infantry units to arrive. Any thoughts?

Oh, by the way, since we're both "new" to this version, my opponent has already agreed for this test game we will allow each other to take some advice from more experienced folks who understand game mechanics much better than we do.

Anyway, thanks for any help or thoughts.

Cheers

Hi Robert, what is Possum's edited OB, what did he do?...Anyway your time table doesn't sound that far off. Do you have any bridgeheads over the Dpnier? If not, get them and get them quick...As the Germans your timetable is dictated buy rail conversion. Always keep enought undamaged raillines behind your troops, to convert. The first time you don't, it counts as minus 2 in supply, that you would have had in the Battle for Moscow.

He has done a hell of a job. It is alternate 1941 campaign with small map changes and bigger changes to units (land and air) and equipment. You can DL it from Dave's page. By many gamers it was considered the best campaign for 3.1 ver. AFAIK he is working now on ver. 3.2.

Thanks Czerpak, I got it, nice map. It should be the standard map. The one thing I question is, why is Hoth's Pz Korp behind his Infantry Korp?

As I noticed Possum is an openminded guy, so you can discuss it with him. Might be a good idea to do it now, while he is working on new version.
