Wierd mouse behavior

So I figured out how to get my rudder pedals to work in this game, I just have to assign them to the mouse x-axis and set the mouse to virtual joystick. The problem is, as soon as I enable mouse joystick, my ship spazzes out. I tried unplugging stick, rudder pedals, and mouse all at once, and it still flies in circles. Any theories on what might be causing this extraneous mouse input? Or is there a way to re-center the mouse joystick once enabled?
