Could someone verify this isn't just me, but I've tried to setup a new PBEM game using v1.04.07 and when I do I don't get any host options on my screen.

Click new game, set myself to be host, setup other clients or AI as desired, click start game. I go into the game but I have no PBEM host buttons at the top of the screen.

I just tested this and noticed that the "Allow host GA Functions" option is disabled by default. Re-enable this and retry (It worked on my end).

It makes a huge mess out of AI games. You can't change options because you are not the host. Which, of course is true, since it's not an email game.

Phew, just me being dim. Although I don't understand why you would want this option disabled ?

The file distributed in this release was the result of me messing with option values. My bad here. I'll change back in 1.05.

Sorry I'm not being 100% clear here. I mean why does this option even exist ? Why would you want a PBEM game where the host can't access the admin options ?

Oh, I see what you're saying.
I put this as an option simply because some people do not want to give these powers to the host (although I do tend to agree with you). Probably need to find another host if you cannot trust him with these devine powers. I will leave as an option since it acomplishes both possibilities whether used or not.
 
 

I cannot imagine being able to get through a game without using the host admin options. You'd have to never need a backup and never replace a player.

Niether can I but this was requested many moons ago by the testers.
Anybody else not use this?
