The latest v1.21.5 public beta is now available in our Members Club for registered owners of World War 2: Road to Victory. It is a comprehensive update that installs over any previous version.

We'd like to get your feedback on any issues that may have been missed. If everything looks ok with the community, we'll make it official next week.

-Greg

We really hopes nothing new will come out

we are far behind the schedule of this patch but eager to finish another in time.

Well, I hate to beat a dead horse... but during airstrikes the Combat Results Box still covers the hex being attacked. ???

I installed the beta patch and continued a game from 1.21.4.  I was at Barbarossa, and when I hit the "General Winter" period I had partisan activity each turn.  I ignored it each time, but I have never seen it so frequent.  I also notice the troops in the North were at full strength, while my troops in the South were 1-9 and 0-4.  I want to qualify this by saying that the troops near supply were full strength, which allowed me to "weather" the storm, and come out strong in Spring. I wish I had snapped a screenshot, but I might be able to recreate it as I have a saved state from the Barbarossa initiation.  I will try to recreate this winter battle, and snap shots.  I was surprised to see such frequent partisan activity, however.

Has the partisan activity algorithm changed, or was I just unlucky?

Also, a small thing, Slolvakia has three convoys at start.  They are just going to have to find a port, and build shipping.

I had noticed the same problem. I looked to me like only Axis units within the original Russian borders were given the winter penalty. Those in the Baltic states were exempt. [/font] [&:]

Tried this newest update. The AI still has a problem with developing air armies...and worse...not using them very much for offensive operations. With AI thread set highest priority, pp values set lowest for Axis and highest for Allies, as Axis I took the entire map by end of May 1945. I actually captured England with an air drop using German, Italian, Hungarian, Spanish, and Bulgarian airborne divisions. When they landed near London there were probably 15-20 full strength British and American air armies (including based on the London hex-had even a single Allied ground division occupied it, I would have been unable to take London). Seems like the AI loves building air armies and refuses to use them. They could have wiped out the remnants of the airdrop easily and then retaken London with an armoured corp within reach had it not had to atack intervening airborne divisions. But it rebased all of those air armies and at the end of the turn lost them all when England surrendered. Seems like having a "victory hex" in enemy hands would mean an all out strike....???? Something needs to be done about the AI's "obsession with air armies.
