[REL] New Map and Template for Random - Piepsk
Posted: Sun Nov 09, 2008 3:58 pm
I've completed the revised map of Piepsk to incorporate stone walls (courtesy of Mraah). The new map more faithfully recreates the original SL map boards.
Stonewalls slows movement of Inf and Tanks, and blocks movement of lighter vehicles and transports.
This new map release also includes a template (Winter Map-Piepsk-w), so the map will be incorporated into the Random Batttle (and random campaign) generator. Always nice to get more maps into the random generator. But if you don't really want this included in the Random generator, simply delet the corresponding file from the Template directory.
I've checked two or three random setups, and did not see any problems. I did notice some Infantry facing wrong way. And some infantry squads ended up spread out further than I normally would.
If anyone has trouble with map or template, please post info so that I can correct it!
This download does not include the scenario. I decided to post that separately. I'll be posting a revised zip in the Piepsk thread that contains only the Piepsk scenario with a revised briefing.
Thanks!
Rick
