More "Hot Seat" Observations

I believe this was once an issue with the AI/PBEM versions and was fixed: the CP does not get the "are you sure" warnings.

When providing a pass word, the first time in a new gaming session of an already on-going game, ie, after the loading of a saved game, it requires 2-3 attempts.

The 1.3 is sounding interesting. Since I play only solitaire (HS and AI) I"m looking forward to returning to AI to see how it was changed. As per your (Frank) request for input, I'll write up something after I get a good feel for it.

Which version is this with lordhoff? Because this sounds like something I fixed in 1.3

1.24; however, didn't you actually fix that in 1.24? I've used 1.24 in a bunch of games vs AI and both had the proper option. When my current game is played out, I plan on downloading 1.3 since it looks like near all the issues have been dealt with.

I just checked by starting an experimental game using 1.24: with the AI, the CP gets the "are you sure" message but does not in the "hot seat" version. So, evidently it was fixed prior to 1.24 but not entirely. The weirdness issue mentioned in an earlier post when the TE selects "no" seems to happen every time, too, forcing a reload at an earlier point.

On second thought, I suppose it could have been fixed in 1.3 since I haven't tried it yet. Guess I'll test this theory with my next game although that means delaying checking out the improved AI until later.
Things like this make me glad that the only language I can program in is FORTRAN 77 [X(]which is so out of date that nobody will ever ask [:D] and make me appreciate more how well the game works in general. Seems that, no matter what, someone will find a new bug when it is something as complicated as a PC game. Pre-mature grey hair must be extremely common .
