First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place. I wasn't sure where else to go.

Straight to the point, the forum keeps logging me out between page requests (especially in private forums). The problem isn't on my side. No change of Internet connection or browser settings, but suddenly I get 'Access denied blabla' without hitting Log Out (even seconds after the last successful page request). And I don't have any similar problems anywhere else.

Sometimes it's every second page request that gets denied for no reason. Helping your developers like that has become a major PITA. I'm hearing this problem has been around for a while, but it's certainly still there.

Please, with sugar on it, do something about it! Thanks!

Now I even get session time outs seconds after I logged in! This must be the worst commercial forum application...

Just a suggestion, there was a thread about this topic a few months ago, did you do a forum search for it ?

I had the logout issues, but they disappeared.

It should have been fixed. I've asked our Admin to look at this thread and see if something else may be going on.

I just switched to a new security software and had to fiddle with settings for cookies. Checking the stay logged in box didn't work at first. (Other websites too)

I made some changes to the cookie setup, so can you let me know if it performs any better now?

You may need to clear your cache and delete any stored cookies for the changes to take effect.

Also, those of you having problems, are you running any security software that might block the cookies?

Thanks for the replies. The problem is still there. Not as bad as before, but still there.

As I discovered it's Mozilla (2) that apparently doesn't like your forum. IE (6) works fine. So for the time being I have to live with IE.

Still flawed IMO, if a forum only works with Microsoft browsers. Then again what can you expect from ASP... [;)]

My Mozilla Firefox browser works fine on this forum. [:)]

Firefox works fine for me too, it's my default browser and I haven't been logged out of the forums in months.

Well, I still have problems using the forum: It's like access for maybe 1-2 min. and then no new forum side will be loaded. If that's what being logged out means.

What would that be? AV Guard?

Matrix is really the only webside, I'm aware of, that for me, falls into deep sleep after a few minutes.

Well, Windows firewall is deactivated, both Zonealarm and virus scanner configured NOT to interfere with cookies, no other third party software in that department. Firefox default configured: accept all cookies (without exception). And, as I mentioned before, no other place causes similar trouble for me. So I just can't see how the issue can be on my side. [;)]

Anyway, suppose I have to live with bad old IE, for whatever reason...
