DRM?

I believe it is to much to ask for to have a DRM-free application (even if DRM never works and only annoys those who bought it) so I wonder what kind of DRM Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge uses. The reason I wonder is because i DO NOT want to be infected with Starforce or any other rootkit-like software.

None at all, I think.

Hired Guns appears to have no DRM at all, besides the serial number.

Matrix Games does not use a DRM system that is based on extra code, software or hardware.
You "just" get a serial number which you have to enter when installing the game and when applying patches.

Great, in that case is it an instant buy.

Matrixgames has almost the best system of any game service, no cd needed, no DRM, no CP, just enter the serial number and play. You have to enter the serial number again when installing any patches too. The best are the Thirdwire flight sims. Download the game and play, no serial number needed even.
