France conquers Oldenburg from . . . France

GB landed troops (Swedish) in Oldenburg and captured Bremen. Next turn France moved troops into the area, defeated the Swedish corps and sieged Bremen (failing to break in).
Next turn they left a corps in the area (Dutch) and won a siege leaving a garrison of 2i (Dutch).
At the end of the turn the log says
"1808, Apr France loses -1pp
1808, Apr France +1pp
1808, Apr Oldenburg Falls to France"
The Holland corps is then moved out of the area and the garrison seems to disappear.
At no point did Oldenburg cease to be French conquered.
Help ! I'm starting to be dragged towards the dark side. I'm losing faith in the game.
