Make the beta more widely available, beyond the members club, and you'd get more comments.

Got the game last night (way early Morning;^). Just played a few turns in the Polish campaign. So I have not really been able to take advantage much of what I think is the outstanding genius feature of this game. That is the ability to select which nations Human controlled and which are AI. This in my book makes up for a lot of other "problems". In another thread a guy was complaining about being able to knock out Russia to fast. I'm just guessing that it probably wouldn't be so easy if playing the game with only Italy and the Axis Minors under Human control.
This feature probably adds a lot of re playability for more thoughtful gamers that don't need to make the Nazis win the war for the thousandth time with the hundredth new game on the same topic.
I can't yet tell but it looks like it might be possible to set up the game with non historical alliances. That would be really cool.

Big plus: Has some moddability potential.
I'm really enjoying the game more now that I'm playing with a some parts of a mod that Uxbridge worked on for his PBEM games. The parts I am using solo right now are:
1) reduced damage for attacker and defender in air combat
This allows me to get the air units involved more in combat, both tactically and in strategic thinking. In the past I dared not use them except in rare occasions, for fear of onerous reinforcement costs.
2) increase cost for moving into a zone of control
makes the game less 'gamey' for me, and tends to encourage development of fronts.

I appreciate the ability to set the PP rate +50%, +100% etc. but woud like it even better if it were a slider over a range, so I could have Italy at +23% for example. I would also like this feature to be on the F1 screen, or on the second "Load save game" screen which looks like it can adjust everything, but is disabled. This would allow subtle adjustements to manage a game which is drifting away.
Thanks for all you are doing to make this game even better. I am delighted to see such positive feedback from active players.

I'm glad you found something useful in the mod. I haven't have an opportunity to really try it out myself yet, since I'm USSR and the others are still meddling around on the Western part of the map.
I would very much like to see the generals go and instead have them replaced by HQ-units. The latter could have much of the same effect as the generals, but operate from behind the front. Maybe they should also affect supply and lend extra action points within their range.

Or keep the generals, but also have HQ units to help funnel supply and command and control.

Just noticed that that you can send production points to other countries via convoy. very cool. But thinking there shouod be a mechanism for sending to countries that do not have Ports. For instance Belgium or Slovakia. BTW Belgium did have one of the most important port ports in Europe at that time. Can't remember it's name but i believe it was one of the objectives of Wacht Om Rhine to shut it down.

I am really impressed with the things that can be modded in this game though I doubt I can do much with it. I can mod much of Medieval Total War 1, so it is with in my capacity to change things and understand a system. but here I am working against not having any comprehension of XL along with trying to figure out the game files. It would have been nice if straight text files. Though I do understand that if you are already good at XL then maybe it is easier than straight txt. I can only hope some one will make some GUI tools.
