Lagging Mouse

Hi All,
I just have bought a new system. 6600 quad core, 2.40 mgz, 4 G's Ram, ATI 3650 512 MB Graphics Card, Vista 64 bit. I have installed PCK and the Update.
The mouse however is quite slow and laggy. I cannot turn off the vertical sync as the ATI control panel has no option for that.
Any ideas on how to solve the problem?
Regards John

My mouse has a button which selects its tracking resolution. The higher the resolution, the faster it moves across the screen. It's a Logitech gaming mouse, but yours may have a similar function, no matter what the brand or model. You might want to check in the control panel mouse properties for any such adjustment.

Hi Poe and Rick,
Thanks for your fast replies. I have installed the latest drivers and have tested different settings. I have turned the vertical sync off as well. I am having better quality with less mouse lag. It is playable.
Surprisingly I have completely normal response on my older system with a nvidia 6600 geforce card. Odd given one of my main reasons for upgrading was
to run games like PCK and CMSF more efficiently. I suppose if it is too annoying I will buy an nvidia 9800 GT card.
Regards John
