There are 9 mercs in the game that you can't hire for some reason.
Here's how you can add them. I should prob say replace, since there seems to be a limit in the game engine right now. To hire the new mercs you have to replace an existing one, just pick one you never use or find annoying[;)]
FYI Out of the 9 freelancers, 6 or 7 already have english speech files, while 2 are still in the orginal russian.
You need an excel reader, MS Excel is what I used.
Always backup files before modding!
Navigate to C:\Matrix Games\Hired Guns\basis\scripts\logic
Open persons.xml
After the mercs name the next box will say either aim or freelancer. Aim are the mercs you can hire. Simply change where it says freelancer to aim for each merc.
IMPORTANT-For each new merc you add you must remove one existing merc to make room. Ie for each that you change from freelancer to aim, you also need to change someone from aim to freelancer. Save your changes when your done and thats it!
I did this before starting a new game to minimize conflicts. No guarantees it will work with a game in progress.
