The 1.31 Update( is now available as a Public Beta via our Members Club. While we do final testing we figured we'd offer you a change to get it early as well. This is still a beta, but it's stable and solid as far as we can tell.

You can download this as a Registered Download as long as you have registered your Guns of August serial number in our Members Club (click on the MEMBERS link in the top nav bar).

Changes from 1.30f
1. Fixed a transfer bug
2. Fixed an AI bug
3. Fixed Diplomatic screen bug
4. Fixed Ottoman production bug
5. Fixed US corps strength in 1915, 1916 and 1917 scenarios
6. Delayed US entry by 3 turns.
7. Added two Austrian corps that arrive in 1915.
8. Increased French and Austrian rail capacity slightly
9. Changed overland transfer rail cost to 2 from 3.
10. Changed hexes 33,12, 33,13 and 32,13 to "marsh" from forest (lake
country)
11. Spread around some German industry so that now there's 2 industry at
Breslau and 1 at Posen.
12. Added two German raw material hexes in Silesia, removed 1 Austrian
RM hex and 1 Romanian.
13. If Britain surrenders Egypt goes to the Ottomans.

Good news indeed! I see many important issues have been adressed and that you've struck a good balance between the different input you've gotten from the forum. Thank you for the good work.
I figure you mean overland resource transportation cost has been reduced from 3 to 2 rps?

And now the big question: is this beta compatible with 1.3f or do we have to finish ongoing games first?

Its semi-compatible. The program is compatible but data changes (both scenario and map) would happen only if you start a new game.

I could not find the following 3 problems, so if anyone has one pop up please send me a save. 1. Transfer of units across sea zones when the zone is controlled by enemy naval forces. Using hotseat I tried several different movements across zones but couldn't get this issue to happen. 2. Serbia not surrendering when all of its cities are lost. 3. The gas checkbox staying on when no gas was used in the hex that turn.

Frank,
Great work! Can you at some point alter the appearance of the hexes whose terrain has been changed to look like marsh?
The eastern hexrow, 50 is cropped, displaying about 3/4 of the easternmost hexes, with no outside border. Are these hexes functional?

Great changes.

Some preliminary observations.

1. There are now 4 Romanian raw materials instead of the 5 stated as intended change.

2. Loading a setup in a new game some German cavalry units appeared in Austrian territory?

I can't change the map, sorry.

I know India is a "functional" hex and I believe the ones in the Caucasus are too.

There are now 4 Romanian.

I should have added the two new Austrian units to the end of the file instead of with the other Austrian units. That will cause setup files to be "off by 2".

Excellent! The extra "Korps" at start is realistic for the Austrians.
Now I can impliment my Conrad Meister Plan.

Some feedback on the latest patch from an ongoing game with Lascar:

1) Changed transfer cost, increased rail movement and location of some raw materials is IMO perfectly balanced for the CP.

2) Ottoman production suddenly dropped to 0 IP in late 15' with no plausible explanation. Production multiplier was above 50%.

3) Hexes in Greece and Albania are depicted without control ownership?

4) Rail movement allowability and cost is now solely charged on nationality of the owner i.e. Germany can with sufficient rail movement rail a unit from Berlin to say Baghdad even if AH, Bulgaria, OE have 0 rail movement left. I assume this is a bug?

5) August 14' is only having 3 impulses now. I assume this is intended but not a documented change?

6) Amphibious invasions don't require a chain of controlled sea areas any longer but the presence of enemy ships regardless of size and number prevents invasions. Is this intended?

a big issue: Austria surrender then all hex without Russian infantry return under Autrian control.
problem: path to russian territory become broken and I have many russians units out of supply in Austria!
