I clicked on windowed in the preferences.

Every time I alt-tab out to look at the manual, the game crashes when i try to resume. I just get a black box in the left upper 2/3 of the monitor.

Its pretty frustrating, because you can't (or at least, I can't) figure out the game without the manual, and there is no printed manual..................................

I'm running XP service pack 2, standard Dell computer, most software seems to work fine.

Although it might do the same thing, do you have the same problem if you minimize and maximize the windows using the taskbar, rather than Alt-tab? I personally have not had the problem before, so I am afraid I am not much help....

I always playe in window mode and what I do is set the game frame so when I bring down the mouse pointer to the lower part of the screen and left click the task bar pops up, either that or I minimize the window. It has never frozen to me in windowed mode.

As far as I know tabbing doesn't work in full screen mode, but works fine in windowed mode.
