LCU losing moral

This is a tip guys. While viewing LCU in WitPtracker I suddenly found three units, all dutch, with very low moral >5. They were in a well stocked temperate Oz bases all with a combine base size over 10 and they have been at these bases for over 1 year game time. Leaders were resonable and other units at the base were fine.

Looking at them within the game I found all three were 'marching' to some location in the DEI.

I'm assuming that when when I evacuated them from the DEI they were in the process of 'marching' but I interrupted it. Loading them onto the transports did not clear the march command.

I should add that fatique and disruption wer also very high.

Your morale would be low too if your commander told you that you were walking to Java from Oz and he was dumb enough to mean it [:D]

One did, same hex but that isn't the problem as other units in the same hex and same coomanded did not have the problem. The problem was the march command did not get reset when I loaded them onto a transport (I think).

Talk about expecting a lot from your men.

"Men you are going to walk on water...or else!"

Another scenario I'm pretty sure I've seen - the parent is moving, and what you loaded was fragments (if you didn't have enough lift, you'll get fragments and leave the parent behind). The fragments may not have a movement order, but if/when the parent is destroyed the fragment is promoted and somehow gets the parent's move order as well.

I believe (not 100%) the same thing happens if the parent and fragment have different prep destinations; when the parent goes the fragment gets promoted and inherits the parent's prep setting.

No fragments.

If it can help:
From my game against AI;
i had the same problems with the dutch regiments i saved from Java. They were in australia, had very high experience after their fight for java:99 exp; in late 42 they were the most experienced allied units! but their morale, in australia, was near 0;
In late 43, i couterattack in Java with australians divs. Then, i bring back the ABDA HQ and the dutch units, and they stayed in soerebaya (no fight, good supplies, etc). In 3 or 4 month, they rise to 80 morale...they later succesfully took back kendari.

SO: may be it is the location that down the morale: when out of DEI , may be the dutch units have bad morale ??

BTW, the units had a march order too, for DEI; it was an order i never gave...may be the game "want" the units to march back to home ?

Matters not how the march order was set it's still something to keep an eye on. Now I've cancelled their march orders their disruption is falling and I have no reason to think moral will not increase once disruption reaches zero.

I've just noticed something else about a NEAF unit I moved to Broome. It's a Static unit so I shouldn't have been able to load it onto a ship.

Might be one of the Naval base Forces that becomes static after it upgrades to heavier artillery

Or the element(s) that make it static might have been destroyed and later replaced.
