Mortar test

I made some tests with german 81mm mortars and found couple odd things:

1) When firing a hex using direct fire, it seems to be that only the first mortar in the weapons slot fires the targeted hex. The other shoots some random hex which can be anywhere on the map (usually not even near the target hex). This doesn't happen when shooting a tank or infantry using direct fire.

2) I killed one mortar's crew so that it had only two men out of ten left. Then I reduced it suppression back to 0. It had same amount of shots as the other mortars. How can two men fire those mortars as fast as ten men?

I'm using version 7.0.

hehe, yeh, i noticed the same thing with american & brit mortars as well, alternating on target and off the wall impacts (hits on the previous mortar unit's target hex, for instance. this behavior is new to post 5.x versions, btw

also noticed the lack of effects with a ravaged mortar unit, not that i'm complaining.

This has just happened me once, in my PBEM game. One of my 82mm mortar squad (indirect fire ... called by FO) shooted at the right place, but then the second shot fell in the upper left corner of the map ...

The 7.0 oobs had this wrong with them. They tend to fire the 2nd morter who knows where. I got a fix to the mobs from some one on this board. Im sorry dont know who but the 7.1 mobs will fix this. If you can download the beta from some ones board it will be fixed. If you have where you cant load the morters on carriers of your sq. you have the bad mobs. They tried to increase the tubes of the morters and this thru the placement of shot off.
