i've tried to reach an aswer by the search function, but couldn't find any...so sorry to ask something wich was surely ask before.
I've got stock 1.5. I'd like to upgrade to the latest version (1.8? More ?).
Should i install each "upgrade" from 1.6 to 1.8, or just the latest one ?

Do basic install any old version (down to 1.0)
Do 1.804 COMPREHENSIVE upgrade
Do 1.806 upgrade... that should get the game installed to latest version in fewest steps.

Nothing NECESSARY to upgrade to newest version... if you are reinstalling playing an older version of a game (say one that is already in progress), you would have to go through other maneuvers...
i recently reinstalled by going from 1.0 to 1.804 (then to 1.806).

One little more question:
there is a "Patches" folder inside of Witp folder. Should i install the patches in here, or anywhere inside the Witp folder is enough ???

Well, you can DOWNLOAD the patches into the patches folder... when executing the patch, it installs where it wants to (it generally patches the "WAR IN THE PACIFIC.EXE" file, although some other files can get worked on as well)... it doesn't really make much difference (imo) except you can later go back and more easily find the patch later if you need to (for some reason).

And once more, many thanks Bob !
