American Civil war download problem

I just finished an eletronic download of American Civil War by Ageod. It keeps asking me for the serial number which i then put in. But for some reason a window pops up saying this vista windows version lacks a D3DRM.dll. This game should work but it just keeps asking for the serial number to be inputed again. And its not working.---Pissed

Alternatively you can email

It seems to be related to Vista lacking some dll used on previous versions of DirectX files (version 9 instead of version 10 used by vista) and needed for "older" games.
It seems to be fixed by downloading and installing DirectX 9 from Microsoft web so your Vista installation have both versions 9 and 10 fully installed.
AGEOD support guys will be able to give you more precise info [;)]
