Retreating to Singapore

Allied troops at Jahore Bahru tend to retreat to Mersing instead of to Singapore in RHS.
I will issue a special Singapore pwhex file (Singaporepwhex7.dat) for use when Singapore is isolated.
Supply flow out of Singapore is not an issue in that case - and troops should prefer to retreat down the RR.
Look for this tomorrow. I must work today.

This is the first pwhex file to deal with the problem of Singapore and retreat after battle from Johore Bahru.
This one is a variation of RIVERpwhex7.dat so it is called SINGAPORERIVERpwhex7.dat
It is presented in two forms - that form and renamed as simply pwhex.dat - the way you use it.
This file is for players who start with RIVER as their pwhex file - to be used when the Japanese reach Jahore Bahru.
I need to create a different one for late war use.
If we can get a Singapore switch put in the RHS Installer/Switcher program - we won't need to do this by hand. But this is a quick fix for the issue. It arose in Test 12A - and installing this pwhex changed the retreat from Kuantan to Singapore - as desired.

This is doable. Please say which hex(es) are to be affected and which aspect(s) of the hexes are to be changed. I will create a file which users can use to overwrite an existing file in the Level 7 (version 1.6) installation. This will allow users to switch this effect on and off as needed.

Singapore is hex 22/51. The NW hex side is the one affected, but it really involves the communications code for this hex. We add one to the code to turn it from a road to a RR. The Johore Bahru hex is already and always a RR communications code. Specifically, the code changes from 190 to 191 (road to NW vs RR to NW).

If you want to add this option to your RHS Level 7 installation get the file here:

and follow the instructions in the text file.
