That looks sweet! The zimmerit is I assume being done with the texture and normal maps, it looks quite convincing IMHO.

A few minor changes and scrape the zimmermit off [:D] to get the late war model. Then add the L70 gun and you have the (V) model as well.

Were they called that?
Herre is a late war uparmored .L48 with side skirts and a /L70V in ambush pattern.
Model makers all love the ambush pattern so I thought I might try my hand at it.

Thanks, Stridor.

Since I have a new book on these I decided to make the models.
But now as I find out more about them I am in a quandary on how to handle their MG42. The machine gun isn’t coaxial but is stuck through a port and manned by the loader when in use. When not in uses it is pulled out of the hull and the MG port is covered by a conical flap. The problem is in PCK a tank that fires HE with its main gun at infantry will simultaneously fire its MG. That is impossible with these vehicles as the loader can’t do both jobs.

Do I even include the MG42?

We had another vehicle like that (I think it was one of the Marders) and decided to include it, since the instances where it would have been used outweighed those where it was not. Definitely something to improve on in the next release though.

What makes it difficult is that the conical cover has to be shifted aside to allow the MG to protrude from the hull. All photos of KO'd jagdpanzers have the covers over the MG port as they were obviously engaged with AT guns or tanks at the time.

Yes they were.

I'm surprised that your new book didn't talk about that. Which book did you get on the JgPzIV's?

Good Hunting.

Light Jagdpanzer by Spielberger, Doyle and Jentz.
Has plenty of line drawing except they aren't reproduced in a consistent scale. I've had to make spreadsheets trying to figure out the dimensions based on similar objects.

And now the final jagdpanzer model, L70A.
Maybe, not the most powerful but the most interesting.

Mobius' work always goes official sooner or later, some of his vehicles were in the original release.
