Getting "JAZZ Project Exception" Fault After Weeks of Playing

I have been successfully launching the game for weeks and now I get the fault everytime I try to launch the game. My system specs have not changed, what's causing this?

The most obvious question is have you installed the most recent patch, and have you modified the game in any way yourself?
You can reinstall the game with all your saved games and see if that works. Have you tried this? If you need instructions on how to preserve your saved games let me know and I'll help you. Hopefully an uninstall/reinstall will do the trick.

Nope, that's what's strange, no new patch, mod or change to system specs...
How do I reinstall keeping saved games intact? I assume that I would have to manually reinstall mods though?
Just for clarification, I have added mods to the game, but that was part of the initial install before I started playing. I haven't added any mods just prior to this new error message.

I don't want to say it could be the mods but honestly I haven't exhaustively looked into the mods out there and it's possible that that's the problem. You never know.
To save your saved games before reinstalling go to: C:\Program Files\Matrix Games\Hired Guns - Jagged Edge\profiles\ and then some nonsensical group of letters and numbers like "{e8def91d-a366-4312-9752-afb54df70cfc}". In that folder are all your saved game files. Copy that folder with the crazy file name to some other location. Uninstall/reinstall and then copy this folder back into the profiles folder. Make sure you DELETE the new folder created when you reinstalled (it will have a similar nonsensical name).
Let me know if this fixes the problem.
