intercepted myself

(running 1.04.07). I was playing Great Britain and had Portugal as a free state. There were British and Portuguese fleets on the board. I had given one stack orders to intercept anything legal and went and moved another stack and I intercepted myself! All of my fleets were listed on both sides of the battle screen (i.e. each of my fleets was listed twice, once on the left and once on the right.) I inflicted an awful lot of casualties on myself.

Is this a familiar bug or should I try to reproduce it so I can provide more detail?

Marshall, have you got a file for this one now? If not, I think I can post one. I saw this happen (in 1.04.07) when, playing Britain, I declared war on Russia at a time when Russia and GB were both at war with France and both blockading Amsterdam. As long as I stayed there, everything was fine; but I wanted to see if I could fight the Russian fleet, and tried moving out of the blockade to start. When I did that, it asked me if I wanted to run the blockade. Thinking it meant through the Russians, I said "yes" and found myself, as JMike reports, fighting myself, the whole fleet against the whole fleet.

JMike's not kidding, that's a lot of casualties! On the plus side, I think I was awarded 8 PPs (3 for the size of the battle for each Britain, and one for each Nelson).
