Weaponry for Your Character?

I made a nice character and bought some weapons from DJ's. Game starts - no weapns for my character!!!? What's up? If I wait till after I buy weapons to deploy my mercs they all get cold feet and leave me!! What's up with that?!! Then, then ... I dont get my money back??? What kind of scam is this? Please enlighten me. t

Use the sector inventory before you zoom into the map. The DJ's stuff you order is available in there, and you can also use it to swap between your merc and any you hired.
