Tooltip

Ralph,

I was reading your blog and saw the tooltip you are planning to implement. Just as a suggestion, if you check Vasl (a free java software to play asl through the internet), you see how it shows stacked units (side by side in a small window like the one you're planning to use when you move the mouse over it). It's a GREAT tool... much easier than toggling through the units one by one.

I don't know how difficult it would be to implement such a tool, but since you're on it already, I decided to suggest it.

Thanks, there's also a 'stack dialog' that you can get to pop up by using the 'C' key. You can actualy use it to issue individual orders to units through the right click menu.

Thanks Ralph.
I know the shortcut, but on the case I described it's faster when we are going through various stacks and also much lighter(only the necessary space is used, not hiding so much of the map). Anyway, take a look on vasl if you want; it is just a suggestion... I know you must be overloaded with other more important issues to get the patch out.
