Hello, so happy I found this board!
I just bout WITP and have been playing non stop for days on end! hahah addicting game!
So Im playing the Big Campaign/full campaign against the AI as the US.
And I have all these fighter planes in San Francisco and would love to ship them to the Central Pacific. I change the command to the Central Pacific thinking I could then load the fighters into some AKs but when I create a Transport TF and select Load Troops or Load Only Troops none of the aircraft are listed? What do I need to do to transport these aircraft please?
Thanks for your help!
Joe

Did you change the aircraft squadrons' headquarters to Central Pacific? The West Coast HQ is restricted and you can't transfer those planes to a base controlled by another HQ. Also, if this is early in the war you might not have had enough points to change the HQ in the first place.

Thanks for the reply. I did have enough Political Points to change the SF HQ to central Pac and enough to change 1 squadran of fighter bombers too. But thats it. How does one get more Political Points? Im trying to fight history and save Manilla and get some fighters to Clarks Field. Also trying to establish an air base at Guam. Hard to see all these fighers in the US I cant get over to the Pacific. Maybe I'll have to wait till later in the game? Each turn takes how much time in game time? I turn = 1 day??
Thanks
Joe

1turn = 1 day. you will get 50PPs per turn.

So it literally could take me almost as long to play as the war took to occur? lol

Ok well I just saw I can change it to 1 turn = up to 3 days or continuous play.
This game takes a serious investment of time to play.

jsegal: absolutely correct [:D] - say "Bye-Bye" to your life....
You can use 2 or 3 day turn settings. This will slow the tempo of operations and cut the time needid 2-3 times to play whole campaign. BUT, you have to plan forward and every mistake you make will hurt you probably twice [;)]

jsegal, you also do not have to spend the PP's to change the command of the base at SF. That is expensive. Just change the command of the squadrons you wish to load onto AK's. If the squadrons are currently assigned to any US command other than West Coast, you should be able to load them without changing the command.
Enjoy! [:)]

Correct. If the squadron is assigned to an "unrestricted" command, it can be loaded or transferred to other bases.

That's it. Bases and units' HQ are separate issues, and changing a base's HQ does nothing to the units that are currently there.
EDIT: burned...[:o]

jsegal,
Welcome to the "insane asylum" (as others on this forum may refer to it). I, too, just got WitP. As others have recommended, check out the "Must Read Threads" (on the main forum for WitP) if you want to get answers to questions. Also, check out the AARs, which are illustrative. Enjoy and good hunting.
