I really found the video regarding hedgehogs helpful and extremly clear, concise and informative. Any chance that there will be any more coming for Kharkov or ATD when it is released?

As a newcomer to this brilliant engine, I would like to see one pointing out different strategies and/or different uses for the various units. I.E., how to best use units to maximize their value and what to be cautious of. I found your commentary very enlightening and comments you made in passing were unbelieveably helpful. Again, thank you.

A very brief 3mins video on blinking HQs and their blinking supply and other properties would be very helpful [:)]

Hello.
Where might I find this tutorial?
Other than the two from SSG on AI and AO (under mods section here and at the SSG site) are there any others that a noob (that'd be me) should see?
Anything else anyone could recommend to help the novice get up and running?

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your tutorials. They are very informative, and help a great deal in "putting the pieces together" playing this game.
I have two recommendations for future topics, if you would like to continue the series:
(1) One of the more controversial design elements of Kharkov is the choice to make the CRT the same for all terrain, differentiating various hexes by the modifiers they apply to movement costs and combat DRM's. These differences are subtle, and take a fair amount of play to discern and take full account of when moving your pieces, and choosing where to attack or defend.
A video tutorial showing how terrain affects various combat issues (Spotting, Direct Fire, Indirect Fire), and thus why it is important to utilize hills, woods, forest, rivers, towns, etc. (even though the CRT is apparently "the same") would be a great help, and also go a long way towards explaining this decision so people don't simply discount the game as "unrealistic".
(2) Direct Fire: Who gets it, how it's applied, and how to protect yourself against it (entrenchments, etc.).
You really have to watch a lot of battles to see the importance of direct fire, and how crucial it is to either set yourself up to take advantage of it, or limit its use against you. Since this is a new addition to the Decisive Battles system, not too many casual players like myself have much experience with it. A tutorial showing how it's applied, with some pointers on how to put it into practice in one's moves (like the Hedgehog tutorial) would be most useful.
Thanks!

Def,
thanks for your comments here and elsewhere
I think they are excellent suggestions, I have been asked about Direct Attack/Direct Defense before so I think this will be next cab off the rank.
cheers

That's great news, Chris. Thank you for your work on these. I've learned as much just watching your tutorials so far, as I have reading the manual and experimenting with the game these past months. They're very helpful for the newer player of the system.

I don't think that will work as it will only save the htm file rather than the actual flash content.
I will look and see if I can package them up into downloads but may have to do that next week.
cheers

if the stream is not working well, press the pause button and wait for it to buffer for a while first.

Hello.
Regarding downloading these...
The real player "download" plugin doesn't work for you all?
