Captured artillery

Not that I don't like it (heh, he, he...) but it keeps surprising me that captured enemy artillery units retain their "original" special abilities etc.
Gaining (MAGIC!) 3000 troops is miraculous enough upon capturing an artillery unit, but to face the idea of "Heroic", or whatever, GUNS (as in: hardware) is just... tough... I reckon everybody sees the picture: an artillery brigade captured - - guns go to the captor, the crews go... well, let's say they to a prison camp. Hmm...

Nah, it is probably because of something like this;

Union soldiers spots previously Union artillery, and talks amongst themselves:
John: dang!
Joe: What?
John: Look at those guns! Remember them?
Joe: Nah, what's so special about them?
John: Those are the guns of the "Bangin' Guns"-brigade. Remember how many Confederate troops they killed last year?
Joe: Oh my God, you are right! RUN AWAY!!!

Kielec, please put your suggestion in the "Wish List" thread.

It's hard to argue with your logic here...
