Mediterranean Playability

I have a question about playability.

I am playing the Axis (Germany and Italy).

I went through Turkey and was hoping to come down through Lebanon but it is not my ally and I cannot declare war on it. As a result the AI won't let me move through Lebanon. As a result I was forced to go through Iraq. How can I go through Lebanon.

Also, I have captured Gibraltar, Malta, Cairo, Nicosia and Alexandria. But the garrison in Sidi Barani is still able to get reinforcements and supplies. How?

Also, the Brit fleet in the Med is still at large.

How do you slow the Brits down.

Lebanon belongs to France or Vichy France. Did you create Vichy? If so they lean towards your side so you can't declare war on it. You could hope that the Allies coup the government. Otherwise it's load up the ships!

Dear Hofmand,

The city of Cairo is a full supply portal for Great Britain.  It represents supplies coming through the Suez Canal.  Since you hold Cairo the garrison in Sidi must be existing on the internal supply capacity of the Sidi Barani hex, but should not have general supply.  Strat Moves there should be impossible, but "replacements" can be generated.

The Royal Navy will not be able to move the Med Fleet out of the Med since you have Gibraltar.  With Malta and Cairo in you hands you have the British right where you want them.

Your situation sounds admirable.
